Privacy Policy — Glassic Wine

1. Who we are

Glassic Wine Limited is a wine curation and events company based in Hong Kong. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, our events and — once it launches — our members' circle, in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong.

2. What we collect

Enquiry details you submit through our contact form — name, email, phone, and your message.
Your email address, and the date and page on which you opted in, when you subscribe to our newsletter or guest list.
Register-of-interest details for the Wine Club — your name, email and message — if you ask to hear about membership.
If and when membership launches, we will also hold membership records — name, contact details, tier, account balance and the preferences you share with us so we can curate well for you.
Event registration details, handled through Eventbrite when you book a seat.

Personal Information Collection Statement: supplying your data is voluntary; without a working email address we cannot reply to an enquiry or subscribe you. We collect only what is needed for the purposes set out in section 3, and the classes of persons to whom your data may be transferred are listed there too.

3. How we use it

We use your data to reply to enquiries, register your interest, arrange events and tours you book, and — only if you have opted in — send occasional notes about dinners, tours and releases. You may withdraw that consent at any time; every email carries an unsubscribe link and you can also write to us. We write to you personally; we do not run automated profiling.

We never sell or rent your personal data. It is handled by these service providers, each only to the extent needed:

Vercel — website hosting and access logs.
Render and Cloudflare — hosting for our enquiry, newsletter and members services.
Neon — our database.
Eventbrite — ticketing for public events.
WhatsApp — messages you initiate.
Google Fonts — typefaces; Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
Meta — advertising measurement, only if you accept the cookie bar.

These providers store data on servers outside Hong Kong, in the United States and Europe, under their own security commitments.

4. Cookies, analytics & advertising

This website sets no analytics cookies of its own. The Meta (Facebook) Pixel is loaded only after you choose Accept on our cookie bar, and you can change that choice at any time via "Cookie choices" in the footer. Once accepted, it sends Meta the actions listed today — viewing a page, subscribing to our newsletter, or submitting an enquiry — so we can measure and improve our advertising. That data is handled under Meta’s data policy. The members portal uses a single session credential solely to keep you signed in; it identifies your membership record and nothing else. Third-party sites we link to (Eventbrite, Instagram, Facebook) have their own privacy policies.

5. Security & retention

Your data is stored on access-controlled systems; member access codes are stored only in irreversibly hashed form. We keep personal data no longer than needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and delete it on request where we are able to. In practice, our retention periods are:

Enquiries — 24 months after our last exchange with you.
Newsletter and guest-list addresses — until you unsubscribe.
Register-of-interest details — until membership launches, or 24 months, whichever is sooner.
Hosting and application logs — 30 days.
Membership records — for the life of the membership, plus 12 months.

6. Your rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you may request access to, or correction of, personal data we hold about you, and we will respond within 40 days as the Ordinance requires. You may also opt out of direct marketing at any time under Part VIA of the Ordinance. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by replying to any email or writing to us.
